中华时报/中华新闻网（赵雪湄）在芬兰举行的欧洲冰壶锦标赛上，苏格兰女子队继续攀升势头，尽管决赛拼尽全力，仍以5比7惜败强敌瑞典，最终收获宝贵银牌，为冬奥之旅打下亮眼伏笔。
面对头号种子、2018年奥运冠军瑞典队，莫里森、多兹、辛克莱尔与杰克逊在前六局势均力敌。虽未能以胜利收官，但整体发挥稳定，让全队感到既遗憾又骄傲。
这支去年摘铜的队伍本周开局不顺，能跻身前四全靠韧劲与运气加持。然而在与冬奥同制的赛场上，她们循序反弹，循环赛末段与季后赛表现都极具含金量。
杰克逊坦言，球队在困境中硬生生扛住压力，后半周状态陡升，为通往科尔蒂纳冬奥会积累宝贵经验。“我们会回到国家冰壶学院，把不足逐一拆解，把亮点在二月完全复刻。”
对于四垒杰克逊而言，这更是情绪交错的一周。她在关键赛程中经历外祖父离世，但仍坚持带队闯入决赛，也把这枚银牌视为对亲人的最好致敬。
“外公临终前还让护士记得打开电视看我们的比赛。”杰克逊哽咽表示，“我知道他一定在天上看着我们，会为这支队伍感到无比自豪。”

Facing the top seeds without the hammer, Rebecca Morrison; Jen Dodds, Sophie Sinclair, and skipper Sophie Jackson went toe-to-toe with Sweden through the first six ends, but were eventually edged out, leaving mixed emotions.
“If you’d told us at the start of the week that we’d come away with silver, we’d have been very happy. It’s tough to lose in the final, but we’re delighted with our performances,” Jackson said.
The team, bronze medalists last year, needed resilience and a bit of help from other results to reach the top four and secure a playoff spot. Their strong finish in the round-robin, semi-final, and final gives them confidence ahead of the Winter Olympics.
“We had a tough start, but we turned things around in the latter half of the week, especially in the playoffs. We’ll review the early games, take the positives, and aim to replicate that form in February,” Jackson added.
For Jackson personally, it was a challenging week as she played through the heartbreak of losing her grandfather. “He told the nurses it was very important to watch us at the Europeans. I know he’ll have been watching from above and would have been very proud.”
