That Late Autumn
——-By May
That late autumn,
I ventured deep into nature,
held hands with palm trees,
and roared alongside lions.
I measured the infinite sky with my steps,
crossed the blue planet through the ocean.
I left worldly cares at the office door,
tucked language into my pocket.
I went to keep a date with the Andes,
to encounter the Amazon.
The passionate and unrestrained rainforest
embraced me with its 30-degree warmth.
The fiery fervor of salsa
danced in radiant hues and flowing silks.
Rough voices sang with a pristine clarity,
untouched mountains exuded natural charm.
Though not flawless in beauty,
it was breathtakingly stunning, overwhelmingly so.
I measured a parallel universe in 15 hours—
on one side, AI had fallen asleep;
on the other, rice fields had just ripened.
Time stretches vast and unyielding,
capable of bearing reflection.
As I pen these lines,
a decade has already passed.
This was that late autumn—
a dreamlike journey, spontaneous and free.
