中华时报9月13日讯（记者赵雪湄）世界斯诺克秋季冠军联赛将于今天（星期日）晚些时候，在位于英国米尔顿凯恩斯的MK体育场开赛。
继今年夏季冠军联赛大获成功之后，该赛事已扩展并升级为WST排名赛事，比赛于9月和10月分为三周进行21天。共有128名选手参加。
夏季冠军联赛期间采用的倍受欢迎的团体赛形式依然沿用于本届联赛，选手分为32个四人组，进行第一阶段比赛。奖金为328,000英镑。 世界排名第一的贾德·特朗普（Judd Trump）今日率先出战，不久前刚刚夺得世锦赛第一的六冠王罗尼·奥沙利文（Ronnie O’Sullivan）则作为赛会二号种子在10月5日亮相参赛。
